Today we looked at paintings by the French artist George Seurat. We talked about what we could see in his paintings and how it made us feel. What zone of regulation did we associate the painting with I wonder.... 
"It makes me think of green zone cos the water makes me calm." said Ruben. 
"It's green on the grass so calm and happy." said Teddy.
"There's sun so that can make you feel hot. All sticky." Said Issy. 
"It makes me think of yellow zone cos of the sun." said Delphine. 
"I want to go on that boat. It would make me calm and I could go with my friends" Said Beau. 

We then discussed how the painting was created using pointillism and had a go at make a whole class painting using Seurat's painting technique. The photos show us in action. The finished picture is on display in the classroom!
