On Tuesday 14th November, Wren Class children visited Wicklewood Church and Reverend Shirley Holt.

We learned about the features found inside a church - crosses, church candles, the font, alter, pulpit, organ and lectern. 

We also, explored the reasons why people might go to a church - to pray, sing, reflect, attend a wedding, funeral, baptism or carol concert. 

This was the first of many visits the children will likely make to the church as they journey through the school. All the children display such wonderful learning behaviours and values during the visit. Reverend Shirley Holt was so impressed and hoped the children would return again soon.
