• PE will be moved to Wednesdays for the rest of the autumn half term.

Reading at home – Please remind children to bring their reading records with them to school every day. Our goal is to have everyone in Kestrel class reading at least 5 times each week. Reading records will be checked and books will be changed on  Mondays, but it is important that children have their records each day so that adults can record their reading at school.

 

Spelling: Logins for Spelling Shed will be stuck into the back of reading records this week. These login details will allow your child/ren onto the Spelling Shed platform and practise their spelling words at home. This week we will be learning - 

 

Maths- Logins for Times Tables Rock Stars will be stuck into the back of reading records this week. These login details will allow your child/ren onto the TTRS platform and to practise their times tables at home. You can also have a try at the times table challenge below - how many problems can you complete in 2 minutes?

 

Common Exception Words – Below is a list of words that we want children in Year 5 to start learning this year so that they know them all by the end of Year 6. They are tricky words that don't follow normal spelling patterns. Practise reading them out loud, using them in sentences and writing them out using joined up writing.
