Week Beginning: 29th June 2020
Hello Wonderful Wrens,
What a hot week it was last week. I hope you all had your paddling pools out and you could cool down in the shade!
We hope you enjoyed Supertato. We loved seeing all the new Supertatoes that you created … they were all different and all super! What amazing adventures they all had too!
This week we are doing another traditional tale. It may be one that you are less sure of. If you have your own copies of ‘The Three Billy Goats Gruff’ at home, make sure you read it together with your family to see if your version differs from the one you watch on Monday.
Take care and have fun.
Mrs Leaford and Mrs Nixon 😊
Phonics:
For the last few weeks of the year we are going to focus on some key activities for our daily phonics lessons. We believe that these activities will really help your child to prepare for the move to year 1 in September.
The daily Read, Write, Inc. lessons are still available to watch at the website below.

| Yesterday you designed a raft to help the Billy Goats Gruff cross the river. Today you must build your raft. Don’t forget to try it out in your bathtub to make sure it floats. Friday |
| Yesterday you thought about how to make a strong bridge. Today you must finish building your bridge if you didn’t yesterday and the test how strong it is. Maybe you could test it by putting small toys on the top and see how many toys it can hold. I wonder if you could make it even stronger? Once you have tested it, put your bridge on Tapestry. I hope it was strong!
