See the separate activities based around a letter from Princess Tiana to her Wizard. Activities include reading a letter (support your child as necessary), learning how to set a letter out and then writing a letter with some extension activities.

We have not covered letter writing in school yet so please support your child with this new learning as needed.

I appreciate that not everyone will have access to a printer so you may want to record your work in your home school sharing book, an exercise book or a notebook.  An adult may need to help create a writing frame in your books. If you are unable to print the letter, talk about the parts of the letter rather than putting coloured circles around them.

When writing remember to think it, say it, like it, write it and read it again.

Choose your writing peak challenge below.

Can I use a question mark or exclamation mark in my reply?

Can I use a conjunction (e.g. because, so, but, so, or, then) to join two sentences?

See separate maths activities to make and compare two-digit numbers. This includes a learning reminder, two levels of practice sheet, guidance if you get a bit stuck and a few questions to check your understanding. All the answers are provided so that you can ‘tick or fix’ your work with an adult.

If you have no access to a printer at home, write answers in home school sharing book, exercise book or a notebook. An adult may need to help you draw out the beaded lines.

This activity can be practised further by playing the coconut ordering game at

There are different levels to suit your child.

As part of our learning on algorithms (a set of instructions) in computing we have been completing maze-based tasks in the PurpleMash online resource.

Access PurpleMash at and login using the card inside the cover of your Home School Sharing Book or emailed home by the office.

In the 2Do tab at the top of the screen there will be a 2Go activity waiting to be completed. Try to work your way through the different levels of challenges . There is a help video if you need further guidance.

The children have seen these challenges in class before and we have worked together to complete some of them.

There is no need to save and hand in this work for this activity.

Design Technology

Unfortuantely, we have not been able to complete our Design Technology project this term due to early closure of the school. Instead, why not try the Unicef Playground Challenge to make a plastic bottle car.

See separate instructions which includes a link to a video.

Adult supervision and help will be needed, particularly to make holes.

In school, we have been observing the changes during the seasons from autumn to winter. As we now enter spring, I have set a choice of activities on PurpleMash 2Dos to complete.

You can look at the changes that are starting to happen to the trees in your garden or near your home and then draw a picture of a tree in spring using the paint project.

If you want more of a challenge, try the ‘Describing Spring’ activity to tell me what happens during Spring. There is a video and some information to read at the start of this task to help you. You may need some help from an adult to complete this activity.

Don’t forget to save and hand-in your work as we do in class.

Make sure you are suitably dressed and have enough space for all the PE activities.

I hope you are able to enjoy some family time over the Easter break and that you stay safe and healthy 😊.
