Swift Class wc 13th July

Wicklewood Primary School Swift class Year 2

 Hello Super Swifts,

This is the last week of home learning. Well done for all working so hard from home. I am very proud of you.

All the resources you need will be at the bottom of this webpage. Don’t forget to look at the ‘family challenge’ activities on the website as well. The maths and English activities are the most important things for you to complete, but you may enjoy one (or more) of the family challenges.

There is a video message from me on the school website on Monday morning to start the week. Parents/carers can email me at swift@wicklewood.norfolk.sch.uk with any questions, and you can send me one piece of work a week that you are proud of. I will see you on Tuesday 21st July to say goodbye plus you will get to meet your new teacher!

Have a great final week of learning!

Miss Harvey 😊

Extra challenge

Some families have requested an extra challenge. If you would like to you could now write a description of the Clock Tower using the sentence openers and word bank to help you. (pg13-14).

Maths

This week we are continuing to look at measures – capacity and telling the time.

This is new content for the children and they will benefit from practical experiences of measuring and telling the time. You could practise measuring liquids using a kitchen measuring jug and telling the time on an analogue clock.

Watch the video and complete the activity document. This can be printed out or you can write the answers straight into your workbook/notepad. The answers are provided so that you can ‘tick or fix’ your work with an adult. If this is a little tricky for you, do the one peak challenge.
