Swift Class w/c 4th May

Hello Super Swifts!

Every Monday I will set your phonics, English and maths work for the week. I have broken it down into what to do each day to make it more manageable. All the resources you need will be at the bottom of this webpage. Don’t forget to look at the ‘family challenge’ activities on the website as well. The maths and English activities are the most important things for you to complete, but you may enjoy one (or more) of the family challenges. Oh and I have given you Friday off work so you can enjoy celebrating VE Day at home.

I hope you are safe and well
From Miss Harvey 😊

Look, I have used a comma in my list and a conjunction. Walk through the wood, jump over the wall and then climb into the tree.

Tuesday

Recap Instructions by Neil Gaiman. Today we are going to hunt for all the bossy verbs in different instructions! If you can’t highlight the verbs, write them down into your workbooks/notebook.

Writing task: Rewrite two sentences as instructions.

Can I identify the 2 sentences that are not instructions with an adult reading ‘The Magic Cottage’ to me? Can I talk about how I could change it into an instruction?

Can I identify the 2 sentences that are not instructions and rewrite them? Don’t forget to start each sentence with a bossy verb.
